In the Welcome room, environmental graphics and an interactive card catalogue help to orient visitors to the space, learn about highlights from the Library’s vast collections, meet librarians and start their own research journey.
In the collections room, visitors are able to explore highlights from the archives through different media. They can play a film reel or record, spin through microfilm, view steroscopes or browse through maps and posters.
The graphic system collages images from the Library’s archives with vibrant colors and cut outs along with hand drawn illustrations. Graphics work to unify the physical space with on screen interactives.
At the Researcher Desk, visitors can explore some of the stories of other researchers and the collection materials that inspired their work and projects.

Icon system developed to label drawers and help visitors navigate the different media offerings.
